As a resident of NYC, I see this building absolutely every day. But what you've done here is managed to get me to see it in a completely different way.
The monochrome is beautiful. You achieved a lovely depth of tones in the processing to b&w, both in the sky and the building, and the exposure of your whites is perfect. Nothing is blown out, and the side of the building is much brighter than the surrounding clouds... lovely.
And then, ahhhh, the clouds. They are what transforms this from an interestingly composed snapshot to a true piece of art. I feel like I'm in a film instead of looking at a photograph.
Also, the composition. We just get a peak of a beautiful building, but that's enough. You highlighted the most interesting part in such an interesting way. The way the building goes in the direction of the clouds is so pleasing.
All in all, this is an absolutely beautiful photograph that I simply must having hanging on my wall. It's minimalistic yet detailed, simple yet splendid. Truly fantastic work.
